How can associations sell more non-member tickets for their events?

The eventscape is a crowded and competitive marketplace. Associations, publishers and event corporates are all vying for our target attendees’ hard-earned pounds.  But what can associations do to ensure that their events are chosen over others?

Miguel Neves, CMP, DES, EventMB’s Editor-in-chief 

Miguel Neves is EventMB’s Editor-in-chief and likes to describe himself as a “curious creator and caring curator of computerized content and a conscious connector of charismatic characters”. He lives and breathes the event tech sector and is deeply engaged in the global online community of event professionals. He is active in volunteer roles across the industry and currently sits on the International Board of Directors of Meeting Professionals International. Miguel is a Portuguese soul who built a career in the UK and is now raising a young family in southern Denmark.

Sarah is passionate about the event industry and delights in seeing her clients’ attendee numbers growing. She loves nothing more than making someone happy, and for her clients it’s something she’s got rather good at.

Adam Baggs, Creative Director and Founder, Soaring Worldwide

With several years working as an organiser within two of the industry’s leading event management agencies, Adam brings a unique buyer focused perspective to PR and communications for the meetings industry.  He used his extensive knowledge of the event planning process gained at those agencies to support the set up of Soaring Worldwide, which provides bespoke public relations, press and campaign planning and advice to PCOs and the event supply chain. 

With clients around the world and a love of the meetings industry, Adam is passionate about the effective communication of strategic messages that develop and enhance long term relationships.  

In particular Adam has developed a specialism in the association and PCO market through strong working relationships with ABPCO, ICCA and their members as well as having a deep understanding of the PR needs of event focused organisations around the world.
