Meet Bristol launches new membership category for event suppliers
23 May 2018
Following the rebranding of Destination Bristol’s Conference team to ‘Meet Bristol’, a new membership category has been launched to enable the team to provide a one-stop-shop for event planners. The membership is open to local suppliers who can add value to meetings and events. Brightelm were the first company to become members in this category.
Brightelm is professional conference organiser based in Bristol UK. The company offers specialist event services aimed towards membership organisations and not-for-profits. A private company, Brightelm is owned and run by Managing Director, Rob Eveleigh who has over twenty years’ experience in the hospitality and events industries.
“We’re delighted to be the first PCO to take advantage of the new ‘supplier’ membership category,” says Rob Eveleigh. “Bristol is truly a great city for meetings with a wide range of excellent facilities.
“Partnerships between destinations and professional conference organisers like Brightelm are paramount to be able to offer the full support package that many organisers require.”
In November, Bristol was highlighted as one of the UK’s most popular destinations for business meetings and events in the annual British Meetings & Events Industry Survey, rising from 11th to 5th place in the survey’s destination rankings. As well as working with the city’s fantastic collection of venues, there is now more than ever a need for the convention bureau to create new partnerships with companies such as Brightelm to continue to attract corporate and association business to the city and provide an all-round professional service.
